Frequently Asked Questions
Not all addresses were created equal. Some are easy to find, some are hard. While GPS is great for finding your address, finding your doorstep isn't always straightforward. DoorPath takes the guess work, phone-tag, and confusion out finding your door by providing visitors with a very simple "follow-the-path" approach.
To use DoorPath, create an account or "continue as guest" and you will be guided through the process of creating a path. When you finish, an email will be sent to you with an easy-to-remember shortlink. You can share the link with friends, delivery people, or any expected visitors.
Sharing DoorPath with your expected visitors is easy. Simply text, or email your link!
The most effective way to use DoorPath with delivery services is to include your link within the supplemental delivery or ordering instructions, which is usually located as a field within your delivery/shipping address, or during checkout.
Some delivery services include in-app messaging with the delivery person. Sharing your DoorPath link with them directly through a message is another great way to ensure delivery people make it to your doorstep.
Yes! Your DoorPath link is generated using a random string of numbers and letters, for example: https://www.doorpath.com/gb1d
Your actual address is not used or displayed in your DoorPath link (unless you add your actual address to the Additional Instructions field). Additionally, these links are not indexed with search engines, so the only people who have access to them are the people you share the link with, the very same people you want to come to your door.
At this time, you can only have one DoorPath, but you can update it, or overwrite it with a new path. We'll be adding multiple paths in the future.
DoorPath is completely free for users!
If you're like us, you probably have too many apps already. DoorPath is a WebApp, which means you can use the service entirely within your browser, which includes creating your DoorPath. No need to download another app!
We created DoorPath to solve a major pain-point for us, and for the people who come to our door. We live in an apartment complex with multiple buildings, entrances, and parking locations. DoorPath works for us, and it'll work for you too!
